Adrian Evarkiou-Kaku is a professional violinist and experienced violin teacher based in San Diego, California, offering high-quality private violin lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. With over 15 years of musical training and performance experience, Adrian brings a personalized, engaging, and results-driven approach to violin instruction.

Born and raised in San Diego, Adrian began studying the violin at age eight. In 2012, he transferred to the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, where he studied under Yuri Namkung. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Vanderbilt University under the mentorship of Cornelia Heard and later completed a Master of Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying with Dr. Olga Dubossarskaya Kaler and Ilya Kaler.

Adrian’s teaching experience includes work with the W.O. Smith Music School and the Nashville Symphony’s Education and Outreach Department, where he developed violin lesson plans and music education materials for school programs. After returning to San Diego post-pandemic, he joined the faculty at Villa Musica and launched his own private violin studio in 2024.

As a freelance performance violinist, Adrian performs with a wide range of ensembles and productions, including collaborations with The Eagles, Candlelight Concerts, San Diego Music Society, and Camarada, as well as stage performances at the Old Globe Theatre and La Jolla Playhouse. He currently serves as concertmaster of the North Coast Symphony Orchestra and is the founder of San Diego Music Group, a collective offering music education and live performances throughout the region.

Growing up in San Diego, Adrian saw a lack of high-level, accessible music instruction in his home city. Today, he is proud to put roots down in San Diego once again, and bring conservatory-level violin training directly to students, offering a flexible, supportive, and goal-driven learning experience.
